Taking Christ to Those around Us

Bethel Baptist Church and the COVID-19 Virus

AN UPDATE ON WORSHIP

Welcome to Bethel! We're glad you are visiting our web-page.

These are certainly tumultuous days with much concern over the COVID-19 virus but let us trust in the Lord God who is in sovereign control of all things.

Given Governor Ever's moratorium of gatherings of 10 people or more in enclosed spaces to help prevent the spread of the virus, all activities in the church building involving more than 10 people have been canceled until further notice.  This includes Sunday morning worship.

Although we cannot gather in person we can still worship together in spirit.  To enable that there is a prerecorded video service for Sunday worship that you may access via the following link  https://youtu.be/_uux3Z4dcys.

As you worship in the privacy of your home know that you are joining others in the body who are doing the same.   Despite our limitations in meeting together may we honor the Lord's Day.

In the midst of this upheaval and given the church is dependent on community we continue to encourage you to find other ways to stay connected as a church family.  Most of you already have many ways to do that - so we encourage you to reach out to one another.  Take also this opportunity to share the love of Christ by caring for those in your neighborhood.

As mentioned before this crisis is hitting the economy in a big way but we still seek to fund the ministries of the church.  You may drop off any tithe/offering at the church or mail it in to the address listed below.

Let us continue to pray for this pandemic to soon be over; for the healing of those that are sick; the comfort of those that have lost loved ones; for parents and children who will be at home to for a long period of time; for employees, the newly unemployed, businesses and industries that are suffering economic loss; for our local, state and federal leaders; and what the Lord would want to teach us through all this.

May God bless your week.

Psalm 73:25-26, "Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
